This approximately 4-hour tour is your 'perfect morning' in the heart of the seaside village, an authentic immersion in flavors, stories, and the true local atmosphere. A complete sensory experience, designed to let you discover the soul of a place that has jealously guarded its roots. At the meeting point, you'll find the local guide and your small group of explorers. We'll do a brief introduction and finally start our adventure. In a few minutes, we'll be just a stone's throw from the sea, in a small grocery store that's a true temple of 100% Sicilian flavors. We'll kick things off with a mix of appetizers: marinated sardines, dried tomatoes smoked over charcoal, an irresistible cheese platter, and other fresh, local products. A walk along the promenade, chatting, will take us to the historic center, reaching one of the most characteristic squares of Cefalù. There, we'll have an aperitif just like the locals do, sitting on the steps of a 15th-century church. We'll continue by visiting the historic center (Arab-Norman Cathedral, the Bastion, the Old Marina, Porta Pescara and the Medieval Washhouse, etc.), we'll get lost in the ancient alleys and breathtaking views, and we'll walk along a path created inside the cliff that runs alongside the citadel. Finally, it's time for an authentic and simple family lunch in a special restaurant. Our promise is clear: we'll only offer you what the locals really eat, the authentic flavors that are part of everyday life. We'll kick things off with a selection of traditional Cefalù appetizers: tasty Sardinian meatballs, vibrant caponata, sweet and sour pumpkin, fresh Madonie ricotta, and the golden crispiness of cod croquettes. But the real highlight will be the tasting of the iconic dishes: the legendary Pasta a Taianu, a unique delicacy you'll only find here, and the classic Pasta con le Sarde, cooked according to the ancient recipes of fishermen's wives, who can turn simple ingredients into masterpieces. Each course will be enhanced by a pairing with excellent house wines. As tradition and our grandparents would have it, a good lunch should end with homemade biscuits 'soaked' in a sweet liqueur wine. This 'sweet' farewell will take place in a truly magical spot: a balcony overlooking the sea, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the picturesque old pier of Cefalù. This tour takes place in small groups, thus fostering a genuine and enriching interaction with the guide, who will address topics ranging from history to art, social and controversial issues.
