Best Shopping in Sicily

Local Recommendations from our My Guide Sicily team

We'll help you with a very pleasant pastime called 'shop-til-you-drop'! My destination Sicily shows you the best places around, where you can get everything you need while staying here, and everything you don’t need to bring home.

Town centres are full of designer stores, hip boutiques and shops selling chic shoes, handicrafts, books, antiques, flowers and groceries. Markets are great for unique things and bargains. Since Sicily is rather non-industrial, but shaped more technically, you will find tailors, furniture makers, hatters, or candle makers.  Oh, before we forget: there is our Outlet Village in Enna. Shopping DOs & DON’Ts At markets bargaining is a MUST! Sicily is not Italy, it’s more North Africa, and Sicilians have the Arab “souk-mentality” in their blood. Immediately paying the first said price is no fun, nor for the vendor, nor for the customer. Always ask for a receipt (ricevuta)! Do not buy an alleged designer part in a market or at a street vendor! Take care when buying such a part. Many of these things look remarkably genuine and cost very little. But if you are caught by the police, you will be punished by paying high penalties up to € 10,000!  A little more information about shopping customs in Sicily you'll find here
