Itineraries in Sicily

Whether you can come to Sicily for several weeks or just a few days there is still plenty you can see and do. Here are a couple of options to consider for those with varying amounts of time.

One Week Itinerary

Start out in Palermo to get your bearings taking in the major churches and markets. One possible aside from here would be to the beautiful mosaics of Monreale. Then journey down to the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento to marvel at the ancient wonders and skip to the beach too if there's time. Then head directly across country to Catania on the eastern coast where you can also visit the Medieval town of Taormina and spend some time on the slopes of Mount Etna. The scope for activities in this region is immense from active ventures onto the volcano to days wallowing by the beach.

From Catania you could also extend your travel down the coast towards Syracuse and Ragusa taking in some of the Baroque wonders of the island.
