Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Catania and surrounding areas. Head to Rifugio Sapienza, stopping along the way to see a house submerged by lava and pass an ancient lava stone quarry.
Upon your arrival at Rifugio Sapienza, located at an altitude of 2,000 meters on Mount Etna, be welcomed by a spectacular landscape. Visit the ancient Silvestri Craters and immerse yourself in the history and grandeur of Etna, admiring their majestic beauty up close.
After exploring the ancient Silvestri Craters, trek to the craters formed during the 2001 eruption.
