Basura Eco Jewellery

Sicily

Valeria Leonardi, who runs this interesting little shop, is an artist who makes eco-jewellery from materials other people throw away.

She collects scrap materials like polystyrene, polyurethane, vinyl, PET, paper, glass, wool, fabrics. And with a lot of patience, phantasy, ideas and craftmanship come into being necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets, coppole (the traditional Sicilian headgear) and also bags.

Valeria Leonardi takes her time for every piece and slowly, slowly she creates wonderful and amazing jewellery, eco-friendly jewellery, in short eco-jewellery.

Maybe you will find your very special souvenir or a nice particular gift right here at Basura. The shop is located in the historical centre of Palermo, near Via Maqueda.
