GAM - Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Palermo
Sicily
In 1910, the foyer of the Teatro Politeama in Palermo became the seat of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna. This choice was motivated by the symbolic value of the monument, which bore witness to the exciting era of the Belle Epoque. After nearly a century, the GAM moved into the historic center of the city, now a place of research and interface between different cultural identities.
On display are 176 paintings and 38 sculptures, pieces that represent the best of modern art in Italy
The GAM offers programs for schools, activities for families, and special itineraries for adults. The bookshop offers a rich selection of books devoted to the visual arts. One area is dedicated to children.
At the café-restaurant of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna Palermo you can relax, have a coffee or a drink and a quick bite.
