Parco Naturale Regionale delle Madonie

A visit or holidays in the Madonie Mountains is a journey through tradition, history, nature and art. The whole area is under protection and one of Italy's regional natural parks, called the Parco Naturale Regionale delle Madonie

Green mountains, karst regions, wonderful hiking and trekking trails, also for non trained people, creeks, lakes, wild animals, Medieval castles.... the park offers something for everybody who loves the mountains and nature. The Madonie mountains are also home to some of the best wines of Sicily, and numerous restaurants offer savoury local cuisine based on meat. There is an adventure park for children and in winter you can go skiing.

The main town is charming Castelbuono which makes a great day out for those who stay in Cefalù or Palermo.
