The Russo winery is set in a dry and well-ventilated area, at the foot of Mount Etna, with considerable variations between day and night during the period of ripening of the grapes. The territory, the micro-climate, the volcanic soil rich in minerals, together with the characteristics of the native vines, favour the production of unique wines.
The Russo family winemaking tradition began in 1860 and has since then been handed from father to son. In 1955, Francesco Russo founded the present company, building a factory for the vinification, bottling and marketing of the wine and creating the first brand 'RUSVINI'.
Cantine Russo offers guided tastings of their wines, including visits to the vineyard and the cellar.
Their D.O.P. and I.G.T wines, both red and white, are full-bodied, balanced, fruity and fresh, same as their white and rosé sparkling wines.
