Beaches of Mazara del Vallo

Mazara del Vallo, situated on the western coast of Sicily, some kilometres south of Marsala, is a small town featuring the biggest fishing port in the whole of Italy. The historical centre is Arab, strolling through the Kasbah with its winding alleyways and narrow streets you will hear North African music everywhere. Many Tunisians live here and you'll feel more in North Africa than in Italy. Most people stop here on a round trip, but few know that next to the town are some lovely beaches with golden sand, sloping gently into the crystal clear sea.

Mazara del Vallo is a good place to spend beach holidays while being in the vicinity to many interesting sites and towns, and in particular when travelling on budget.
