Shelter
Sicily
The Shelter is situated on an alleyway with several other restaurants, the area and the name of this restaurant leave the impression of a tourist trap. But the restaurant actually turned out to be very nice. The menu is a wide range of typical Italian and Sicilian dishes. The tables had white tablecloths and cloth napkins, the waiters were friendly and effective, and the food was unexpectedly good.
Inside you can dine in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, but on warm summer evenings you should look for a table outside.
Shelter focusses on meat and other typical dishes of the Peloritani Mountains, but pizza, fish and pasta are also very tasty (ask for the house wine). Mini-pizzas for children!
The Shelter was a very cozy and tasty experience at fair prices.
