Description
Meet at the Alfotour kiosk/infopoint in the Port of Scilla, where staff will welcome you and guide you aboard one of three boats: Scilla, Cariddi, or Mike. The tour begins sailing toward Chianalea, a fishing village known as 'Little Venice of the South' for its houses rising directly from the sea. You will then follow the coastline to Favazzina, a hamlet famous for crystal-clear waters, where the first swimming stop lasts 25 to 30 minutes.
Next, the boat proceeds to Bagnara Calabra. From the sea, you can view the third highest bridge in Europe, the Mia Martini monument, and the historic Aragonese Tower. You will also pass the Port of Bagnara and see the French Tunnel. Along the coast, several sea caves are visited, including San Sebastiano Cave, the Arch of Ajax (which contains the Monk’s Cave), the Sirens’ Cave, and the largest cave, Swallows’ Cave.
The tour concludes at Cala Janculla beach, accessible only by sea, where there is a second swimming stop of 25 to 30 minutes. Guests can enjoy a refreshing drink before the return trip to the Port of Scilla.
