Nangalarruni is the well-known restaurant for lovers of the hearty cuisine of the Madonie Mountains, or those who have had enough seafood in their holidays and want to savour something different. The restaurant is cozy and boasts a well-stocked wine cellar.
First time here? Then go for the tasting menu, to savour the flavours of the area: veggies of the mountains, quality salami and cheeses, smoked ricotta, asparagus, mushrooms and artichokes, black Nebrodi-pork coming with mushrooms and crispy baked potatoes and for dessert a 'Testa di Turcho', the head of the Turk, a sweet specialty of Castelbuono.
Portions at the Nangalarruni are quite generous, and the service is efficient, quick and very friendly.
On weekends table reservation is required.
