Museo Archeologico Regionale di Lentini

The arrangement of the finds follows chronological and topographical criteria. From the oldest evidences of human presence in the territory of Lentini in prehistory, you go to the colonization and then to the description of the Greek town (settlement, defensive works, necropoli and temple architecture); finally, the data regarding the urban centre and territory history in the late Roman Age, the Byzantine, Arabian and Middle Age periods are also shown. The exhibition of the items is supported by good explanatory material, which aid you to understand the various problems which have been faced and the reconstruction of the research phases.
