Villa San Giovanni degli Eremiti

The Villa San Giovanni comes highly recommended for all sightseeing foodies, who want to taste the true and authentic Palermitan cuisine. Sitting in a pleasant shaded courtyard, we enjoyed yummy appetizers: divine sardine balls, stuffed eggplants, fried zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta cheese, tuna, potatoes, peppered mussels...The icing on the cake was the 'Sfincione', the typical Palermitan pizza, soft inside and crispy outside, hmmmm

Especially delicate are the homemade pasta dishes, try the black pasta with seafood, the macaroni with sardines or the spaghetti with sea urchin sauce and spinach, and you'll know what we are talking about.

The service is prompt and courteous. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
