Looking for a place for a romantic dinner, a friend recommended The Loft. The restaurant is located in a not so nice quarter of Milazzo, so first we thought it was a rip off, but once inside we found ourselves immersed in a cozy little restaurant with soft lighting, candle light, modern colours, background music and well-made reproductions of famous paintings. Urban chic. We were greeted by the kind owner with a prosecco, and then the fine eating started with the 'Loft appetizers', followed by spaghetti with mussels, fish cous cous, hummus and a seafood skewer. All traditional Sicilian dishes, but with the right touch of originality. And the dessert: a flan with Nutella, indescribably good! We ate so much for a fair price. A dinner at The Loft is definitely worth the one hour drive from Taormina.

We will be back!
