Ristorante Portobello is a family run seafood restaurant which was established in 1978 and is overlooking the harbour and the cobalt blue sea from the main town square. Especially the outside terrace is beautiful as it affords a dazzling sea backdrop.
The kitchen produces traditional local Aeolian food using local indredients trying to give it its own stamp. Signature dishes from Portobello's seafood-led menu include the stuffed squid and swordfish or tuna carpaccio with salad, seafood risotto, pasta with clams but also fiery pasta al fuoco made with hot chili peppers.
The wine compliments the menu with a nice selection of Sicilian wines and the service is as warm and pleasant as the gentle breeze surrounding the picturesque island of Salina.
