Run by three Sicilians, Giuseppe, Gianluca and Filippo, La Spiga follows a philosophy of combining traditional rustic cuisine with modern ideas and flare in order to create not only outstanding dishes, but also keep the authentic feel and atmosphere.
The interior is set in a black and white - steel theme and boasts high ceilings with huge arches, while the dim lights create a sensual atmosphere.
The accomplished cooking reflects the seasons and the results have an appealing vitality; fresh shrimps with cream, cognac, red peppers and baby carrots.
The weighty Sicilian-inclined wine list offers a fantastic selection of white and red wines, as well as rose and some bubbles.
