Osteria La Dolce Vita

Sicily

Restaurants Seafood Regional & Local Sicilian Cuisine

Osteria La Dolce Vita is a bit tricky to find, it is located off the main road which leads to the historical centre of Trapani. Therefore it is unnoticed by tourists, It is the typical Italian family-run tavern, small. clean and simply furnished. The outside appearance is sort of spartan,  but the interior colours make it homely.

The menu is small, the first thing you'll be served is soft and fragrant sesame bread. An absolute must-try at La Dolce Vita is the fried fish. The fry is light and crispy, not greasy at all. The fish is superfresh, and the calamari melt in the mouth (forget about all the rubber-like fried calamari you have eaten before). Also delicious are the busiate (pasta) with ricotta, almonds and eggplant. Great flavours, genuine products and superfresh fish, topped by friendly service, generous portions and surprisingly low prices.
