Osteria da Mariano
Osteria da Mariano is a charming tavern nestled in the tiny alleyway just a few steps away from Piazza Duomo in Ortigia.
The family-run restaurant has a very authentic feel. Styled with wooden furniture, colourful curtains, paintings of historical Syracuse and starched red table clothes you can be sure this is a real Sicilian restaurant.
The cooking is tasty, flavoursome and influenced by the Hyblaean Mountains. Think roasted rabbit, lamb steaks, but also swordfish, snails and mussel's stew. Start with bruschetta or a caponata with fried aubergine, capers and vegetables, served with crusty bread. Truly fantastic.
Every taste bud of yours will be satisfied at Osteria da Marino.
