Bars & Pubs in Sicily
I spotted this little cafe-restaurant on a Taormina stroll off Corso Umberto and was 'charmed in' (bad sign) by a waiter who turned out to be very friendly. I was curious if this was a tourist trap or not. It wasn't! Some locals were inside (good sign), the food was amazingly fresh and tasty, there is no cover charge like in most restaurants and cafes in Italy, and they offer free WiFi.
Some days later I returned to test their Sicilian breakfast, will say granita. And I must say that the lemon granita was one of the best I ever had (had a lot in the last 10 years, believe me).
If you are travelling on budget or tired of large meals every night you should come here. This family-run place is a little gem in Taormina.
