L'Acquario in Giardini-Naxos shows understated elegance with soft colours ranging from white to beige to brown, and is run by the friendly owner and his lovely wife. The staff is courteous and professional and the young owner goes personally to the tables to illustrate the specialties that are especially seafood and finest oysters.
Acquario means Aquarium, and degustazione means tasting - and that's what you can do here: taste all kinds of seafood...various special types of oysters, cockles, scallops, truffles, mussels, sea urchins, clams, fish, lobster, prepared as soup, grilled, raw or cooked au gratin. You could wash them down with selected Sicilian and Italian wines or champagne, carefully chosen of small wineries by the owner, not only a skilled chef, but also a true wine lover.
