La Vecchia Taormina is located some steps off the Corso Umberto. It is simply furnished with wooden tables and chairs, the outside seating is on a tiny square with cobble stone pavement and stairs, where tables are cleverly arranged.. You could taste some traditional local specialties, great salads and, from time to time, a real Angus steak, but it is the excellent pizzas that attract most people, both locals and visitors. Very friendly and quick waiters make sure that there are no long waiting times. The pizzas are amongst the best in Taormina, topped with fresh and savoury produces. We come here since years and were never disappointed. In the evening folk musicians stop to entertain tourists.
Prices are a bit above average, but the quality of the pizzas and the characteristic place make up for it.
