Some people say Il Baro has the best pizza in Palermo. As we haven't tried all pizzerias in Palermo we can't confirm this statement, but we can assure you that the pizzas of Il Baro are delicious, very good both for the type of dough and the ingredients. Our favourite is the vegetarian pizza - have a look at the main picture, doesn't it look just mouth-watering? Oh, and the desserts.
Il Baro is always frequented, you'll find the restaurant also pretty full in the middle of the week. And that's a good sign. It is a rustic place and the staff is quick and corteous. We only tried the pizza but the other dishes people had at the neighbouring tables also looked very tempting.
