Why, oh why, is this ice cream parlor so far away from home? Why? But maybe it is better like this, otherwise I would become fat in a very short time. There are people coming to the Gelateria Azzurra from the other end of Palermo (which is, by the way, full of ice cream parlors). The first time I was completely lost, so the ever so friendly staff made me taste every flavour I wanted. All of them were superb, but my favourites are Grisbì lemon, Zio Pino (with chopped peanuts) and the licorice ice cream!
Ice cream, cookies, cones, croissants, and even the cream are all made without gluten and lactose-free, and with exclusively natural ingredients.
The location is really anonymous and outside Palermo, on the way to Bagheria, but once found, you will never want a different ice cream.
