In a quiet alley only a few steps from the picturesque centre of Lipari is the Ristorante E'Pulera.
The best bit is the outside garden, bathed in sun and surrounded by flowers, and in the air a sweet scent flowing from the orange, lemon and tangerine trees. The tables are ceramic and each has a unique name of an island.
The kitchen delivers mainly Aeolian cuisine and creates dishes designed to leave you wanting more, even though the generous portion sizes mean you probably don't need it.
The menu changes daily, depending on what fruits of the sea the fishmonger has brought in the morning and what is the current and freshest seasonal produce. Opt for swordfish skewers, stuffed squid or fettuccine with pumpkin and fennel - generously sprinkled with shrimps. If you are tempted for a dessert we recommend super refreshing and tasty Lemon Sorbet or Semifreddo al caffe.
