Noto, Modica and Ragusa: The Baroque Tour from Catania
116 ReviewsDiscover the heart of Sicily of the late Baroque period. Rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1693 it is part of UNESCO's World Heritage.
Situated in the beautiful main square near the beach of somehow laid-back Letojanni you will find the 'Blue Sky Cafè'. We just wanted to have an ice cream (what we had and it was delicious), and discovered a little gem.
We were soon back, tried some others of the delicious offers, such as cakes, pizza and Sicilian sweets, and were delighted by the good food, the coffee specialties and the granitas, the comfortable seating area in the middle of the square and the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. Even if you only have a cappuccino, it will be served with a smile and some friendly words.
The Cafe is spotlessly clean, and the outside area offers relax and tranquil during daytime, and turns into a fantastically atmospheric place in the evening, when the square becomes populated and Sicilian musicians give their little concerts.
