Noto, Modica and Ragusa: The Baroque Tour from Catania
116 ReviewsDiscover the heart of Sicily of the late Baroque period. Rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1693 it is part of UNESCO's World Heritage.
When wandering in the evening on the seafront in Giardini Naxos you must try A Putia! The cuisine is based in fresh seafood, prepared according to traditional recipes, but with this special innovative twist. We had some hearty appetizers and a spectacular pasta with sea urchins, and the squid 'Modo Mio' (my way) is unforgettable.
The restaurant reflects the style of yesteryear shops, the staff is very kind and prices are average. A Putia is well frequented both by tourists and locals, so it is best to book in advance due to the limited number of places.
We love this restaurant for the delicious food, the wines, the genius of a chef, the helpful and friendly staff and the wonderful sea view!
