This Irish pub is a bit hidden in a small square a few hundred meters behind the Cathedral of Acireale. The Mescan is decorated and furnished in Anglo-Saxon style and has a decent range of beers on display. The sandwiches and hamburgers, coming with fries, are really enormous, they have a also a very good stuffed focaccia. There are even veggie burgers. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the service could be improved in terms of speed, so have little patience - it's worth waiting.
The Mescan is a supercute pub where you'll feel immediately at home. And the best is: real value for money!
