Opera dei Pupi di Vincenzo Argento e Figli
Opera dei Pupi di Vincenzo Argento e Figli was founded in 1893 by Vincenzo Argento who has learned and has fallen in love with the art of puppets from old puppeteer Don John Partridge.
Vincenzo's sons helped spreading the puppet love and dedication in villages and towns around Palermo and Agrigento.
Today the puppet theatre is led by the grandson Vincenzo who is currently the holder of the Opera dei Pupi.
All members of the family are dedicated with love and passion to the craftsmanship of the puppets, especially the wooden sculpture of the heads and busts, and the construction and shaping of the arabesque style armor using metals, such as brass, nickel, copper and silver.
Please take your children, friends, family and come and enjoy one of their performances. We can promise you will not be disappointed.
Open daily from 17.30 with two shows daily.
