Description

You will start the tour by visiting the Cathedral, in the heart of Piazza Duomo, accompanied by a local guide. After that, you will enter Catania's fish market, where you will taste typical products and the best fried fish in town. The next stop will take you to Via Crociferi, famous for its churches, followed by Via Etnea, Catania's main street, and Piazza Stesicoro, where the splendid Amphitheater is located. Nearby, you'll find the historic Bar Savia, where you can taste the best arancini in town, and next you'll go to Panetteria Pacini, where you can taste the famous 'cipollina,' a unique specialty of Catania cuisine. The next destination is to Catania's most important kiosk, Chiosco Costa, where you will drink the typical Sicilian fizzy drink made with Selz and syrups. Opposite the harbor, the penultimate stop of the tour awaits you, where you will enjoy a mixed meat dish with horse meatballs and 'Cipollata.' At the last stop you will have reserved a delicious dessert, the famous Sicilian ricotta cannolo, cassatella and almond paste or Sicilian granita, depending on the time of year. To conclude this guided street food discovery tour, you will receive a souvenir postcard 'The Elephant's Way,' where all the stops and different foods tasted during the tour will be marked.
