Piano Provenzana Ski Resort

The ski resort of Piano Provenzana extends homonymous pinewood that lends an alpine air to the station. As a panoramic background there are rocky peaks. Skiing in slopes at high altitude, the blue Ionian creates a striking contrast with the snow in front of you and at the same time always remains in sight of the volcano, covered in snow. The location usually offers good snow conditions and well-groomed trails .
The facilities of the resort are 3 lifts and a chairlift .
The 2002 eruption destroyed several structures. Therefore, it is not possible to overnight close to the slopes, but in shelters, bed and breakfast or farms only few kilometers away.
