Villa Palagonia - Villa of the Monsters

The stunning Villa Palagonia is worth a visit, despite the bad maintenance. Visitors should bring along a good portion of phantasy to imagine the splendor of the past. Do not expect any particular information on the site. The structure is completely surrounded by walls topped by grotesque figures that have earned it the name of Villa of Monsters. Remarkable are the staircase leading to the upper floors and the striking hall of mirrors. The Villa is surrounded by a pleasant but badly maintained garden. Allow yourself at least an hour to explore all its nooks and fully appreciate the charm this villa exudes.
When you enter you are immersed in the Baroque, with its hall of mirrors, gardens, chapel. It may be more appreciated, but not to be missed.
