Museo Diocesano Catania

Sicily

The Diocesan Museum of Catania contains furniture and artworks of the cathedral, the bishop's seat and other churches, testifying the historical, cultural and religious heritage of the vast territory of the diocese. On display are silver works, vestments, sculptures, paintings etc.

The museum is divided into two sections : the first section is dedicated to liturgical furnishings of the Cathedral, the second section inthe halls of the third and fourth floor includes the furnishings of other churches in the city and diocese. The path finally ends in terraces from which you can admire the Baroque city, and where numerous events take place.

The museum cafe is a nice place for a break. The bar looks out onto a charming terrace next to the eighteenth-century cathedral.

The museum is a great location for your event!
