The Fabbrica della Ceramica is run by Susanna di Simone, the daughter of the founder. She says, that her playroom was the factory. As a child she did not want to go to the kindergarten, so her father took her to the factory, that magical place.
I am a complete porcelain-addict, antique and modern, I am very proud of my collection of old mocca cups and the precious porcelain I inherited from my mother and aunt. Pottery was never my thing - until the day I was in Palermo and saw all this lovely and colourful stuff: dishes, bowls, coffee and tea cups, candelabras, bedsides, accessories, vases and tiles. The urgent wish to renew my bathroom and kitchen overcame me, as well as the urge to eat and drink from now on from these wonderfully designed plates and bowls and cups.
