Trattoria d'Oro's pizza is probably the best we have ever tasted as it is lightly charred to a gentle crisp in the wood-fired oven. Pizza Stromboli, Pizza Volcano, all 7 Aeolian Island names feature on the menu.
The trattoria is family run by Demetrius, Giuseppe and Carmela, which put a lot of effort to deliver on flavours, taste and excellent service.
It's not only the pizza's that draws the locals and regulars alike in. The menu is based on traditional Aeolian cuisine overflowing with rich flavours. Try pasta with sardines spiced up with fennel or Aeolian classic stuffed squid,grilled swordfish or veal cutlet in breadcrumbs.
The atmosphere is welcoming doubled by the wood beamed ceilings, huge archways and walls studded with ceramics and art-work and tastefully painted half white and half blue. There are few tables outside, if you fancy alfresco dining.
