The Meliora restaurant in Noto is not easy to find, but is conveniently situated within 10 minutes from the main tourist attractions of Noto and absolutely worth the search.
The Meliora is elegant and eclectic with contemporary decor and a well crafted Sicilian menu. The intimate dining room at Meliora, which is popular with locals and tourists alike, has a high-ceilinged space, decked out in cream colours, huge archways with soft lightning and dark brown furniture.
The kitchen isn't overly ambitious, but manages to pull off some inventive ideas and appealing combinations. For a starter the aubergine mousse comes highly recommended along with cous cous and caponata. Try out also spaghetti with fish eggs drizzled with lemon.
The service is warm, especially the owner Michele Perna is very attentive and friendly.
