Ristorante Lido La Polena
Sicily
A dinner at the seaside terrace of Ristorante La Polena right on the beach of Letojanni is especially beautiful in the evening, when all the lights of Taormina and the surrounding villages are twinkling and a gentle breeze is sweeping over your face on a mild Sicilian summer night. Nino, the owner and chef, his partner and his staff are very friendly and enjoy a chat. Letojanni is a short bus or taxi ride from Taormina and the restaurant is well worth a visit. The quality and price of the food are excellent.
You should try the 'Pasta Bottarga', the eggs of the tuna fish. The pasta is served on a plate in a basket of Parmigiano Reggiano - delicious. And the fish cous cous is just fabulous!
The good service, the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and the amazing food made by the owner - or maybe we'd better say 'the seafood masterpieces' - will make a great night out.
