Don Camillo restaurant can be found on the enchanting island of Oritiga right in the heart of old Siracusa, a short stroll from many beautiful Baroque gems of Siracuse.
Don Camillo has an atmospheric interior with historical paintings on the walls, huge ceiling and stone archways and wooden furniture.
The cooking is done by the chef and owner Giovanni Guarneri, who is skillful, innovative and imaginative with a meticulous attention to detail.
The restaurant features renowned Sicilian recipes and ingredients such as sea urchins, shrimp, fresh fish and tuna steak with red and green jam, but you can also tuck in to oriental noodles or enjoy fantastic fish soup sprinkled with bread croutons. These can be washed down with a choice of several hundred wines (700 hundred to be precise) featuring the best of Sicilian produce.
