Dolceria Giannone

Located in the centre of Scicli the ousite of the pastry shop Giannone won't hit you, but once inside every sweet tooth will know that he hit the right place. If you are looking for a typical pastry, try the Testa di Turco, the head of the Turk, the specialty of the area, an open puff pastry stuffed with creamy sweet ricotta cheese, the turban-shaped top gave this pastry its name. And it is at Giannone exceptionally yummy! And huge! And costs only 1,50 €! There is no place to sit down, but outside are some public benches where you can savour this head in Baroque surroundings.

Also the cannoli and almond pastries are extremely good (the latter make a tasty souvenir), and there is a wide choice of cookies and ice cream.
