Caffe Gulizzi

Sicily

On one of our exploration trips around Palermo we passed one morning the village of Capaci, and smelled the intoxicating scent of freshly roasted coffee beans drifting through the streets. Curious, we followed our noses and came upon the Caffè Gulizzi.

The kind staff of this family-run cafe told us that the art of coffee roasting has kept unchanged in the family Gulizzi since 1950 and has been handed down for three generations.

Few things are more tempting than the scent of roasted coffee beans, so we tried some of their specialties, which come with a variety of flavours, e.g. hazelnut, chocolate, pistachio, cinnamon and many more. Even the decaf is excellent.

A wonderful way to start into the day!
