Forget the brochures and those cookie-cutter itineraries. Along with visiting Taormina and the Etna winery , the best part of today will be getting to know each other. I don’t mean to brag, but I truly believe that great company is what makes all the difference! It’ll be like taking a trip with an old friend who’s showing you all his favorite spots.' During the 50-minute drive from Messina to Taormina, we’ll have plenty of time to introduce ourselves, get to know each other, and give you a real taste of the island—explaining our lifestyle and how we live our everyday lives here. With me, flexibility is the name of the game! We don’t follow a rigid script. If it’s a beautiful day, we might stop at some panoramic spots along the road to Taormina to admire the coast. Once we arrive at our first destination, you’ll have about two hours of free time to wander through those hidden alleys of Taormina that very few people know, reaching scenic terraces far away from the usual crowds. We’ll spend as much time as we want walking, laughing, and sharing stories, and then we’ll stop for breakfast. I usually grab a cannolo or a granita at a pastry shop where the delicious aroma hits you from the street, and they fill the cannolo right before your eyes! But I have one piece of advice: whatever you choose, don’t eat too much. Why? Because next, we’re heading to a winery where, after the tour, you’ll have a reserved table at the restaurant to pair your wine tasting with a traditional Sicilian lunch! You’ll notice right away how welcoming the atmosphere is; I’m like family there, and within a couple of minutes, you’ll feel right at home too. It’s all about a relaxed, friendly mood—you can kick back with your appetizers, enjoy your wine, or we can just chat and have a laugh. Sadly, the time will eventually come to say goodbye to get you back to the ship on time, but don’t worry. On the way back, we’ll have over an hour to keep the fun going—and if you’re up for it, we’ll crank up the volume on the stereo and blast some full-throttle karaoke!
