You'll be welcomed by the Bonomo family in a historic Baglio, a building from the 1800s whose architecture reflects the history, culture, and tradition of Sicily. When you arrive, you'll get a bag with a personalized glass that you can take home as a souvenir of the evening's emotions. You'll be taken on a tour of the winery, visiting the different wine-making areas and the old oak barrel cellar, where you'll hear the fascinating story of Marsala wine and its secrets. Around 8:00 pm, we'll kick off the tasting of our finest wines, like Grillo and Nero d'Avola, which really capture the essence of the region and its warm, sunny vibe. The wines will be paired with typical dishes to savor traditional Sicilian cuisine with its flavors and aromas. It'll be a casual tasting in the Baglio's inner courtyard, all decked out and lit up for the occasion, so you can really soak in the beauty of Sicily. To make this experience super relaxing and avoid any confusion, we won't be pairing the wines with food at a buffet. Instead, each guest will get a big ceramic plate with some of the most typical Sicilian dishes, like arancinette, pizza rianata, and caponata. Guests can sit and use the characteristic tables decorated with traditional colors and patterns as a support, or they can sit on colorful sofas. The evening will be jazzed up with some background music to make the tasting unforgettable and full of excitement. Sicily is also famous for its sweet pastries, and you just have to try them The event will wrap up around 10:00 pm with sweet ricotta cannoli paired with Marsala wine, one of the world's top dessert wines, for a one-of-a-kind taste experience.
