Bronte Pistachio and Etna Wines Tour
Join us for a unique experience that combines Sicilian agricultural tradition with the magic of Etna wines. On this tour, you’ll have the chance to discover two of Sicily’s most renowned culinary delights: Pistacchio Verde di Bronte PDO pistachios and the distinctive wines of Mount Etna. Our tour includes a guided visit to the heart of Sicily, with tastings that will allow you to experience the true essence of the island.
Experience details:
1. Pick-up and Departure
We will depart at 9:30 a.m. from your accommodation in Catania. Comfortable transportation will take you to the first stop of the day, on a journey that will allow you to admire the Sicilian landscape in all its beauty.
2. Guided Tour of the Bronte Gran Pistachio Farm
Once we arrive at the farm’s historic manor house, our tour will begin. We will welcome you with a brief introduction to the history and geography of the area. Next, you will take a walk through the pistachio grove, where you will learn how the renowned Pistacchio Verde di Bronte DOP grows and develops, from its early stages through to harvest, with detailed explanations of the farming methods that
make this pistachio one-of-a-kind in the world.
3. Tasting of Local Products
At the end of the tour, we will move to the courtyard of the historic farmhouse for a tasting of the farm’s products:
Whole, natural, shelled pistachios.
Homemade bread with oil produced by the Nocellara Etnea farm
Bread with Bronte Gran Pistachio PDO pesto, served with stracciatella cheese and sun-dried tomatoes.
Bread with Bronte Gran Pistachio PDO pesto and mortadella made from Nebrodi black pork
Sicilian “col tuppo” brioche, filled with artisanal pistachio custard cream
Homemade ice cream made with Bronte Pistachio PDO.

4. Visit to the Etna Winery
Next, we will head to the Etna Winery, a site that offers breathtaking views of the vineyards cultivated on the slopes of the volcano. Here, an expert guide will lead you on a tour of the vineyards and introduce you to the local winemaking techniques, which are influenced by the volcano's unique microclimate. You will discover the unique grape varieties grown on these fertile soils.
5. Tasting of Etna wines
At the winery, a tasting of 4 Etna wines will be waiting for you, paired with a platter of typical Sicilian products, such as cured meats, cheeses, and fresh bread. Each wine will be presented with a detailed explanation of its characteristics and production techniques.
6. Return to Catania
Our tour will conclude with your return to Catania, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation, enriched with new knowledge and unforgettable flavors.
