Description
Departing from and returning to Riva della Posta, this tour offers a scenic cruise around Ortigia Island. Captain Mirko guides you through the island’s rich history and notable sights, such as the Maniace Castle and Aretusa Fountain.
The tour includes viewing the small port, Bourbon prison, Forte San Giovannello, Forte Vigliena, Santo Spirito Church, Alfeo promenade, Jesuit College, the Grand Harbor of Syracuse, and passing under the Umbertino Bridge.
Along the northern coast, you will explore marine caves featuring stalactites, coral flowers, and clear water. Key stops include the heart-shaped cave, dolphin-shaped rock, and a World War II monument. A special stop at a secluded cove allows for swimming and snorkeling with provided masks.
Fresh water is available on board. Captain Mirko offers commentary on local history and provides an engaging, comfortable experience.
