Description
Board a shuttle and travel to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano, prominent above Sicily’s coast. Begin at Rifugio Sapienza, walking past lava flows and extinct craters that reveal the volcano’s history.
Visit a nearby organic farm to sample honey and other products grown in the fertile volcanic soil, reflecting Etna’s agricultural richness.
On the way to Taormina, admire aerial views of the Isola Bella nature reserve. In Taormina, enjoy lunch and free time to explore the town’s landmarks such as the Greek Theatre, Giardini Naxos Bay, and Palazzo Corvaja.
The tour ends with a return to Catania after regrouping in Taormina.
