Description

The tour begins in the center of Catania where you will meet your guide and embark on a 4x4 jeep adventure. The first stop is a cave near Nicolosi. Next, you will visit Monte Salto del Cane, an adventitious crater at about 1400 meters altitude on the volcano's southeast slope, notable for its volcanic, botanical, and wildlife features.

Following this, the itinerary includes a visit to Valle del Bove, a large basin of approximately 37 square kilometers covered by lava flows from eruptions between 1991 and 1993. The tour then proceeds to Rifugio Sapienza at 1900 meters above sea level. Here you can explore independently or take an easy trek to the Crateri Silvestri craters and recent lava flows from 2001 and 2002, located within a UNESCO heritage site.

Lunch is served at a mountain refuge featuring traditional Sicilian products paired with Etna wine, provided by Etna Experience. The schedule may vary depending on group needs, weather, or volcanic activity.
