Description
Join a four-generation family winery for an immersive evening focused on the art of winemaking and local traditions. This tour highlights the passion behind cultivating grapes and transforming them into fine wines.
Guests will learn about winemaking techniques, visit the maturation rooms where wine rests in tanks, and the Barricaia where the famous Marsala wine ages in oak barrels. During harvest season from mid-August to late September, guests may also visit nearby vineyards and participate in grape picking upon request.
The experience culminates in a dinner featuring rustic local appetizers such as Sicilian cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, caponata, olives, salami, bruschetta with 'Matarocco' pesto, wood-fired bread with house olive oil, and traditional pork sausage. These dishes are paired with the winery’s signature wines: white 'Grillo Sicilia DOC,' red 'Nero d'Avola DOC,' fortified 'Zibibbo IGP,' and 'Marsala DOC.' The Marsala is served with 'Tagliancozzo,' typical dry almond biscuits.
