Etna Wine and Local Products Tour from Catania
This guided tour explores Etna’s wineries and traditional villages, ideal for wine lovers and cultural enthusiasts visiting Sicily.
Description
The tour begins in Zafferana Etnea, known as Sicily’s honey capital. The guide will lead you through areas shaped by different lava flows, offering insight into the town’s natural environment. You will taste local honey and other typical products, including extra virgin olive oil, during a guided tasting session.
Next, visit the first Etna winery to meet an expert sommelier. Learn about the wine production process from pruning to harvesting, followed by a tasting of several local wines from Mount Etna and surrounding areas.
For lunch, the tour continues at the second winery, where you will enjoy a full Sicilian meal including antipasto, primo, and secondo dishes. This will be paired with three Etna DOC wines (one white and two reds).
