Description
Your day will begin with a convenient pick-up in Syracuse, leaving the coast behind to ascend towards the giant of Sicily. The first stop will take you to the south side of Mount Etna, up to the Silvestri craters at an elevation of 1,900 meters.
Here you will walk on the edge of ancient dormant craters, surrounded by an almost lunar landscape made up of dark lava rocks, crisp air, and breathtaking views that embrace the entire gulf. You will hear stories about the eruptions that shaped the land and have time to take unique photos.
After the volcanic exploration, you will descend towards the coast to reach the beautiful Taormina, the Pearl of the Ionian Sea. You will pass through the old city gates to stroll along the lively Corso Umberto, among artisan shops, the scent of cannoli, and historic buildings.
You will look out from the famous Piazza IX Aprile, a panoramic terrace suspended over the sea with a panoramic view of Mount Etna. You can visit (on request) the iconic Ancient Theater, where Greco-Roman history blends with one of the most stunning views in the world.
Amid the scents of orange blossom, historical views and volcanic energy, you will return to Syracuse with the most authentic essence of Sicily in your eyes and heart.

Important Information
- It is mandatory/recommended to wear trainers or trekking shoes with non-slip soles (no flip-flops, slippers, or heels for walking on the craters). On Mount Etna (altitude 1,900 m), temperatures are significantly lower than on the coast: always bring a windbreaker, a sweatshirt, and a hat, even during the summer months. Physical fitness and accessibility: This activity requires a basic level of mobility to walk over uneven and lava terrain. The itinerary is not wheelchair accessible. Not recommended for people with serious heart or motor problems. The tour will be confirmed with a minimum of 3 people.
