1. Ragusa Ibla: A Journey into the Past
The first stop is Ragusa Ibla, the ancient heart of Ragusa. The labyrinth of medieval alleys and late baroque palaces will offer you postcard views at every corner (many of which are famous thanks to the TV series Inspector Montalbano).
Not to be missed: The imposing Cathedral of San Giorgio overlooking the main square and a relaxing stroll in the shade of the Ibleo Garden
2. Modica: The City of a Hundred Churches (and Chocolate)
Next, we move on to Modica, a spectacular city perched on the sides of a canyon. Here, Baroque blends with a unique culinary tradition.
Not to be missed: The monumental façade of the Cathedral of St. George.
The included experience: A stop at an old artisanal pastry shop for a food tasting of the famous PGI Modica Chocolate, cold-processed according to the ancient Aztec recipe handed down by the Spaniards.
3. Noto: The Garden of Stone
Finally, we will visit Noto, the undisputed capital of the Sicilian Baroque. Strolling along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the city will appear to you like an open-air movie set, built with a local limestone that takes on a warm golden hue in the sunlight.
Not to be missed: The majestic Staircase of the Cathedral of San Nicolò and the grotesque balconies of Palazzo Nicolaci, considered the most beautiful in the world.
